A photograph is now being circulated via email of a female deejay from a popular Portmore-based musical group performing oral sex on an unidentified man.

While the man in the picture cannot be seen, the tattooed female is clearly visible. According to the caption of the email, the man is also a popular figure from the same group. The picture appears to have been taken by a cellular phone and judging by the angle, was taken by the man receiving the sexual favour.

When contacted by THE STAR last night, the woman claimed to be unaware of the photo and said it would not be affecting her career. In terms of the other party said to be in the photo, she said: "Is mi boss, ma mentor. Mi nuh have nutten more to say ... . Mi just haffi prepare miself fi it."

When contacted, the male alleged to be in the picture did not respond.

Last year sex photos and a video of popular female figures were circulated and this is the latest along those lines.

Checks were made last night on the Internet and on the popular social networking website twitter.com and a number of persons had admitted to having received the photo.

Persons were speculating whether it was actually the female deejay, examining her distinctive tattoos and questioning how this will affect her musical career.

Lisa Hype issued the following statement today:

First, I would like to say that there is no excuse for a picture of that nature to be a part of the public domain. I admit that the picture is real, but it captures a personal act done in the privacy of my bedroom. I don't know how that got leaked to the media and condemn anyone who would stoop to such a low.

However, I understand that I am a public person, and when I say or do something, either articulated and thought out, it carries weight in the public arena. As a result, I must assume personal responsibility for my actions. I would like to apologise specifically to all my female fans who might be disappointed to see me in this light. However, I don't apologise for the act itself because it was done with a man that I truly and deeply love and respect, and it was done in the privacy of my bedroom. I did it, so what?

I would also like to apologise to my family who are truly and deeply hurt by the dissemination of the photo all over the Internet and the media. This is not cool. And this is not funny. This is my life that some unscrupulous person is attempting to destroy, but I am a strong young woman and I will survive. Many young women, like myself, have been exploited and hurt in this way and there comes a point in everyone's life when they have to stop allowing people to hurt them. I am begging young girls across Jamaica to use my life as an example: we live in a male-dominated society but don't allow men to use and abuse you. I have learned my lesson the hard way. The world is a tough classroom, sometimes.

Singjay MOVADO was involved in a minor accident in Montego Bay, St James, on saturday night, July 11. Deejay Mr Lexx is still in the United States of America after he appeared in court on Monday and his case was postponed until November 16.
The deejay, whose real name Christopher Palmer, was arrested and charged with rape in New York, United States of America late last month.

He appeared in court in Queens, New York and his $US 2,500 bail was extended until his next court appearance.

Lexx was arrested after a woman reported to the police that he sexually molested her. It is alleged that the woman was in her room at a hotel in Queens, when the deejay forced himself on her. The police arrested the deejay the next morning.

When contacted by THE STAR yesterday Earlton Clarke, the deejay's manager, was still confident that it will be proven that he is innocent. In a previous interview with The STAR Clarke said, "the matter is now before the court and we have all faith in the judicial system."

The deejay, who is known for songs such as Full Hundred and Cook, cannot leave the United States until the matter is settled in court. He is reportedly working on some musical projects while there.

Eleven people died in Jamaica overnight as police stormed the stronghold of a druglord wanted by the U.S.

More than 1,000 police assaulted the Kingston council estate occupied by heavily armed gangsters as a 48-hour slum standoff over Christopher 'Dudus' Coke exploded into violence.

The Jamaican government has already ordered a month-long state of emergency. Last night the Foreign Office was warning against all but essential travel to the Jamaican capital.

The U.S. wants to extradite Coke to face cocaine-trafficking and drug-running charges.

It is not clear today if he is still in Kingston or if he has managed to escape to another part of the country.

Many residents of the island nation's capital see Coke as a community leader, and have barricaded the Kingston slums to prevent his seizure by police.

'They say they are prepared to die for him,' Elizabeth Bennett, a radio reporter for Nationwide 90 FM, told reporters over the weekend.

'Coke is seen as a saviour by many people. He provides employment, he provides treats for the children at Christmas. People worship the ground he walks on.

'They don't have a crime problem there. It's like a Utopia for them. He takes care of things for them.'

Gangsters loyal to Coke began barricading streets and preparing for battle immediately after Prime Minister Bruce Golding caved in to a growing public outcry over his opposition to extradition.

Jamaica's leader, who represents West Kingston in Parliament, had claimed the U.S. indictment relied on illegal wiretap evidence.

West Kingston, which includes the Trenchtown slum where reggae superstar Bob Marley was raised, is the epicentre of the violence. But security forces also came under fire in areas outside that patchwork of gritty slums.

Officials said at least two policemen and one civilian were killed and seven police officers wounded in the attacks last night. There were also reports of looting and carjackings.

Helmeted police in flak jackets and brandishing automatic assault rifles tried unsuccessfully to storm past makeshift barricades and infiltrate the poor Tivoli Gardens area of West Kingston where Coke was believed to be hiding.

They were forced to retreat after masked gunmen opened fire on them from high-rise buildings overlooking the barricades, which closed off seven main streets leading into the area.

A woman in Tivoli Gardens told Radio Jamaica that she and her terrified family were hunkered down in their apartment as a firefight raged outside.

'I really pray that somebody will find the love in their heart and stop this right now. It is just too much, my brother,' the woman told the station, the sound of a gunbattle nearby.

'The police is appealing to residents of Tivoli Gardens to desist from blocking the entrance to the community,' police force spokesman Karl Angell said in a statement.

"We are also appealing to the decent citizens of Tivoli Gardens who wish to leave to contact the police."

The normally bustling streets were mostly deserted, as the country marked its Labor Day national holiday and motorists and passersby steered clear of the trouble spot.

Golding said on Sunday the state of emergency would remain in effect for a month and would demonstrate that Jamaica is 'a land of peace, order and security' where gang-related violence will not be tolerated.

"This will be a turning point for us as a nation to confront the powers of evil that has penalized the society and earned us the unenviable label as one of the murder capitals of the world," he said.

In a gritty section of the capital of an island known more for reggae and all-inclusive resorts, the violence erupted after nearly a week of rising tensions over the possible extradition of Coke to the United States.

Golding had stalled the extradition request for nine months with claims the U.S. indictment relied on illegal wiretap evidence.

Lawyers for Coke - who in addition to Dudus is also known as Small Man and President - challenged his extradition in Jamaica's Supreme Court.

When asked how he feels about pictures of this nature being in the public domain, Vybz Kartel said, "mi vex how dem out but it's already out there and blowing up the net. Unfortunately, it can't be recalled."

He also spoke about the picture on his Twitter page, responding to questions raised from his fans. "Why should these photos cause such chaos when everyone an dem mumma kno that Vybz Kartel is the "2Live Luke" of dancehall. Since the release of the pictures, Vybz Kartel said he has been in contact with the women, who he refers to as his 'friends'. He said they are angry that the pictures have been exposed.

With a raunchy video circulating on the Internet, dancehall artiste Ms Ting says she has no problem appearing nude in the raw version of her Bonify music video.

The sexually explicit video for the song, which is a collaboration with Psycho Tanbad, surfaced on the Internet recently. The video was done by Terminal 4 Media, while the song was produced by Dre Skull, from New York.

But there is also an edited version that has been on local TV for a few weeks. The raw version, Ms Thing says, is strictly for the Internet.

In the first scene, Psycho Tanbad lays on top of Ms Thing, with both of them appearing nude. At some points, Ms Ting's breasts are exposed but both their lower bodies are slightly blurred. When THE STAR contacted Ms Thing, she confirmed that she was nude and does not have a problem with that.

"Not at all. As artistes, no publicity is bad publicity. I am not gonna let people use negativity to bring me down. I am just going to continue to do my thing," she told THE STAR, while noting that she will soon release another song with Psycho Tanbad.

A white van without license plates parked in the heart of Times Square caused a security scare Wednesday that rattled New Yorkers and thousands of holiday tourists milling about amid preparations for the city's massive New Year's Eve celebration.

Just weeks after a police-involved shooting in the area, the NYPD blocked off part of Times Square for about two hours starting at 11 a.m., calling in counterterrorism and bomb squads after officers noticed the 1992 Dodge van, which had a bogus law enforcement placard in the windshield, parked on Broadway between 41st and 42nd streets.


Two high-rise buildings, home to Nasdaq and publishing company Conde Nast, were partially evacuated, but occupants were allowed back in around 1 p.m.

Stephanie Gonzalez, who works in the glass-covered tower directly in front of where the van was parked, said announcements were made around 11 a.m. that people in the building should head to its west side, away from the vehicle. She left the building entirely.

"Post-9/11, you're just not going to stick around to figure it out," she said.

There were no corresponding terrorism threats involving the vehicle, said chief NYPD spokesman Paul J. Browne. No explosive devices were found in the van, and the area was reopened to traffic about two hours after patrol officers spotted the van.

But police take extra care around New Year's Eve when the celebration draws hundreds of thousands of revelers from around the world to the heart of Times Square to see the ball drop at midnight. Squads routinely patrol for suspicious vehicles and do sweeps in garages before the event.

"Its presence in Times Square just before New Year's Eve causes us concern, and that's why we're taking extra precautions," Browne said.

Hours after the scare, Mayor Michael Bloomberg stood outside the Nasdaq building, down the street from where the van had been parked, and declared the city safe for the New Year's Eve festivities.

"Somebody thought it was suspicious. They called. We checked it out. It turned out not to be anything bad," he said. "We take every threat or every potential threat seriously."

Nasdaq said its trading was unaffected. Conde Nast was in the process of evacuating when the order was lifted. But the scene shook those who live and work nearby.

Stephen Radner, an attorney who works on the 40th floor of the same tower, said the announcements to move to the west side of the building caused confusion.

"I couldn't quite understand it," he said. "If there was an explosion, it would have shattered everything in the building."

The van was parked in a row of cars beneath some of the large billboards that ring the square.

Shouting and putting up metal and wood barricades, police began clearing several blocks, directing thousands of tourists to move south and west. Investigators also towed a parked car several yards from the van. A tarp partially covered the van, and the placard in the windshield read "detective's crime clinic, Metropolitan New Jersey and New York," a nonexistent law enforcement agency.

Police used a robot to examine the vehicle, then approached on foot and peered in the windows. The van was opened to reveal a disheveled mess of clothing, racks and scarves that looked like a peddler's stand. A temporary registration was also found, but it had been altered, and police were looking for the van's owner.

It wasn't clear how long the van had been parked there, though those who work in the area said the van had been there at least two days. A similar-looking van in the same location appeared on Google Street View in warmer weather, which suggests it could have been there for a while. The vehicle was towed from the spot later Wednesday.

The incident comes three weeks after a shootout in Times Square when a man hawking CDs ran from officers who recognized him as an aggressive panhandler running a scam. Raymond Martinez pulled out a machine pistol with 30 rounds and got off two before the gun jammed. The officer fired back, killing Martinez in the carport of the Marriott Marquis hotel.

In addition, Spice also spoke of her inability to perform at Sting. "Nuffy sabotaged my thing. After Pamputae performed, he knew it should have been me, but he called up General B instead. When did he expect me to perform after that? During the clash with him and KipRich. It was unprofessional and it was done purposely because before that he was following the lineup and list. I just want to apologise to my fans for not performing. I didn't get the chance to and I had a real end of year performance in store."

Cops probe goat 'rape'

The Williamsfield police in Manchester say they now have in their custody a man who they believe had sex with a pregnant goat.

The suspect was held after some items left at the scene of the molestation were identified as belonging to him. Reports reaching The Star are that the suspect's ratchet knife, cellular phone and keys were found at the scene in Belair district, near Bellefield, Manchester.

It is alleged that between 6 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday, the pregnant goat was assaulted. The animal was found dead by the property owner. The 46-year-old man now in police custody could be charged with bestiality.

The police have so far summoned a veterinarian, who confirmed that the animal had been sexually molested. Following investigations and the discovery of the items at the scene, the suspect was taken into custody.

Several residents converged on the scene expressing shock about the incident. One resident who knew the suspect said: "I met it (the news) with a lot of shock. He usually fix ... and things like that, but I don't know him to do these sort of things."

Residents say the suspect was not known to have any mental illness.

What makes the case seem even more perverted is that residents also claim that the animal was found with its eyes dug out and its private parts swollen.

Beyoncé just wrapped up traveling around the world on her "I am.." tour and somehow managed to squeeze in a gig in Manhattan at a club called M2. Exactly why a performer whose making millions while on tour would book a $200k performance in Manhattan is a bit puzzling. So I guess Beyonce's senses kicked in and she reneged on her contract and said she would be willing to just make "an appearance" because of course she's too busy preparing for the US leg of her tour.

Kelis is requesting spousal support, child support, all pregnancy-related expenses and one-half of all medical expenses after the child is born. More specifically she wants, $3,500 for the baby nurse after the child's birth and $20,000 for strollers, cribs and other baby supplies.
